The Friends of the Emmaus Farmers’ Market help to organize cooking demonstrations, musical performances, community organization participation, as well as coordinating advertising and promotions for the market. The Friends operate as a volunteer committee under the Emmaus Farmers’ Market, Inc., an organization that has applied for nonprofit 501c3 status.

The Friends of the Emmaus Farmers’ Market took form at a break
out session of the Emmaus Visioning Project discussing a lively
downtown. When a site came available, the people who were enthusiastic
about bringing a market to Emmaus formed a “friends committee”
to provide support to the market. The market has just started its
sixth season with 20 producers, offering a wide variety of local
and seasonal produce and products including all types of fruits
and vegetables as well as bison, chicken, goats’ milk cheeses
and flowers.
